Over the last couple weeks, bad weather has warmed the lake up, dropped the thermocline and slowed fishing. Chinook and coho were found 40 to 100 feet down in 90 to 150 feet with plugs, flies and meat rigs. Pier fishing was slow.
Good catches of kings and cohos continue. Big kings over 30 pounds have been caught by a number of charters. Now is the time to book a charter before these beasts head up river.
Kings are showing up in Pere Marquette Lake. A good option for rough days or just to enjoy a fight with a big King. Ace Hi's and meat rigs are hot there.
